Skill Gap Analyser is a browser extension that helps users compare their skills with the skills required for job opportunities.
When the user chooses to analyze a job, the extension reads the content of the current webpage to identify information relevant to the job description.
The extension also stores the user's saved skills locally in the browser so they can be used for skill comparison.
The webpage content relevant to the job description and the user's saved skills are sent to our backend service for skill analysis. The backend uses an AI service to identify job-related skills and calculate the skill match.
Skill Gap Analyser uses a backend service hosted by Render and an AI service provided through OpenRouter to process the information required for the skill analysis.
We do not sell user data. Information is used only for the purpose of providing the skill analysis functionality of the extension.
User skills are stored locally in the browser using browser storage. The extension does not maintain a separate user account or require users to provide their name, email address, password, or payment information.
Information sent between the extension and our backend is transmitted using HTTPS.
